There is an emerging international consensus that cooperation and coordination between military organizations and a wide range of civilian agencies and actors is crucial to securing peace in conflict-torn areas. Integrated Peace Support Operations (PSOs) today play a central role in Sweden's current foreign and security policy and the national engagement in international conflict prevention, crisis management and conflict resolution.
