ICM - International Crisis Management Course

The aim of this senior/middle management course is for the participants to learn and understand the system of co-operation and discussions between the political level, its executive authorities, and various non-governmental organizations, in the context of international crisis management.

About the course

The purpose is also to present a broad view of different aspects of Peace Support Operations (PSO) from the perspectives of the international community, the United Nations and the contributing nations, and to learn from experiences of past international Peace Support Operations.

Representatives of international organisations, UN agencies, EU institutions, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Ministries of Defence, Non-Governmental Organisations, National armed forces and civilian police are invited as ICM participants. Swedish representatives are invited from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the National Police Board, the Armed Forces and several Non-Governmental organisations.

The ICM Course consists of two weeks, where seminars and case studies are mixed.

Cost

Participants will be charged no fee for the ICM course. However, participants are expected to cover their own travel costs and costs for board and lodging.
