Centre for International and Operational Law

The Centre for International and Operational Law of the Swedish Defence University is conducting research into the international legal aspects of military operations and is responsible for the education in this area within the various programmes of the SEDU.

    Hans Henkelman is currently at International Law Centre in charge of seminaries etc. with the intention to start teaching on the programmes at all levels in Total Defence and Crisis Management.

    Hans holds a B.L and a BA in Political Science from Uppsala University and a Master of Arts in Political Science with a major in Crisis Management from Defence University.

    Prior to joining the International Law Centre in January 2017, Hans had a temporary post at MoD for 12 month. He has between 2007 and 2016 been course director at National Defence and Security Policy Studies (IHT) at the Defence University. During the same period, he was Acting Head of Office for more than a year. Before 2007, Hans has been at different national and international agencies as an analyst or in charge of different educations or training areas, mostly in the Total Defence and/or Crisis Management area.
