Bertil Nygren
Bakgrund
Bertil Nygren received his PhD in political science in 1984 from Stockholm University (on a thesis on Soviet foreign policy ideology), where he was appointed associate professor in 1993.
He has previously been with the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (1976-79) and been visiting scholar at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and at the Wilson Center, Washington DC.

From 2004, Bertil Nygren participates in the larger project "The New Strategic Triangle" (c.f. Jan Hallenberg's presentation), where Russian security and Russia’s relations to the CIS, to Europe and the United States is his focus.
