Aktuell forskning

Apart from coordinating research in the Strategy Section, Jan Willem Honig's own research focuses on the strategic aspects associated with contemporary Western interventions. Projects underway study the role of the 'strategic colonel' in Afghanistan and the strategic perceptions of 'winners' and 'losers' in recent military interventions. Clausewitz has been another major focus of his recent work. He is editing a book with Andreas Herberg-Rothe on 'Clausewitz and the State', which will be published in Germany in 2009. He also continues to publish in his original field of study, Medieval warfare
