Click eBook Catalogue in the menu and you can see and search among the books that the library has access to. The library owns about 200 books. The first page you see when you log in shows the library's books.

Search throughout Dawsonera and make purchase suggestions

You can search among all the books, about 500,000, by clicking the small box in front of Show unowned content, under Library availability.
You can get more refined results if you choose to search in Advanced Search. Click the box Books not owned by your library.

Reserving borrowed books

Most titles have unlimited numbers of users, but some titles can only be read by one to three people at the same time. If a book is being read by another person, you can join the queue up by clicking the Add to Queue symbol and entering your e-mail address. You receive an e-mail when the book becomes available.

Print and copy

You can print and copy about 5% of a book. This applies per user per book. You will automatically open an account. The number of pages varies depending on publisher. You can only print and copy when you are reading the book online.

If you choose to read the book online, the book will open in PDF format and it is possible to make notes and search in the book. Notes are saved and are still there when you use Dawsonera again.

You can also save your favourite books in My Account.

  2. Click the Download e-book icon and select the loan duration (1-21 days)..
  3. Then click Download and accept the opening of the PDF or epub file in Adobe Digital Editions (if you have an FHS computer, this is already installed) or Bluefire reader or another e-book reader that uses Adobe ID authentication.
