When you have been admitted to a course you must register in order to not lose your place in the course.
Registration takes place at the Swedish Defence University at Drottning Kristinas väg 37, Metro (T-bana) Tekniska högskolan. You must have proof of identity to register.
If you are not able to come register personally you may register by proxy (more information about that further on).
If you have been admitted to studies at the Swedish Defence University you will receive information in the mail well ahead of the course start about when the registration will take place.
There are several reasons why it is important to register:
- To keep your place in the course.
- So that you can be examined in your course (e g write tests) and get grades.
- So that Swedish Student Aid (CSN) can see that you are a student and therefore entitled to student grants.
- Registering is recorded in the data-based student registry Ladok.
Registering by proxy
If you cannot come to register you can register by proxy. The person representing you must have a letter of attorney from you as well as valid proof of their identity.
An example of a letter of attorney:
I, "name + personal identity number", authorise "name + personal identity number of the person who will register for me", to register me for the "name of course".
Sign your name at the bottom of the letter.
