Military History

Historical military change – revolutions in warfare 1500-2020, 7.5 ECTS.

This course highlights the multitude of factors affecting the evolution of warfare. The course focus is to analyse how technical changes are interdependent of social, cultural, political and economic changes in society, as well as tactical, operational and strategical factors.

The course in conducted with web based lectures and seminars. A European field trip (voluntary) is planned for the course. Active participations in the course seminars as well as a paper are prerequisites for passing the course.

This course is a fully web based course that requires no physical presence.

A second elective (Military history two) will be offered during the autumn 2020. There will be no prerequisite of previous participation in military history elective one.
