Doctoral student survey 2024
The overall conclusions are that the doctoral students find it positive and stimulating to complete their education at SEDU, but that the doctoral education environment can be developed and improved. They also ask for greater clarity about requirements and expectations for them as doctoral students.
The doctoral student survey was sent out in November 2024 to a total of 53 doctoral students. 30 people responded, which represents 57% of the respondents. The results are presented in the report and the questions are essentially the same (but slightly fewer) as in the doctoral student survey 2021/2022. This is to enable comparisons. The questions have been reconciled with the directors of studies for each doctoral subject, the doctoral student coordinators at IFS and IOF and the union's doctoral student section.
The results of the survey are presented to the Vice-Chancellor's management group, the Research and Education Board, the Research Council and to doctoral students and directors of studies.
