New academic year – new students

On September 2, the Swedish Defence University welcomed all new students with an introduction day that offered a Vice-Chancellor's speech, panel discussions with teachers and activities with the student union.

For the autumn semester of 2024, 340 new students will begin their studies at our civilian programmes at the Swedish Defence University. Of which 11 students are in exchange agreements and Erasmus. In addition, 383 students will start various freestanding courses and another 130 students will begin freestanding courses starting in November.

The officer programme's 298 new students started their education already in August with a special introduction.
