Access to electronic materials

Students and employees of the National Defence University have access to the library's electronic materials by logging in to the school's network or via remote access.

You can search for e-books in our search service Primo, where you limit to Books - Full text. You can also search directly in the e-book databases that can be found in the menu to the right.

Most eBooks can be read by multiple users at the same time, but some books are limited to one, two, or three simultaneous users. If the book is on loan, you can join the queue for it by entering your email address. You'll be notified when the book is available again.

The e-books are available at the Anna Lindh Library for all employees and students, even remotely. For external visitors, the e-books are only available for reading on the public computers at the main library at the Swedish Defence University.

If you cannot download an e-book in full text (e.g. as a pdf), you sometimes need to use the programs below:

Adobe ID is needed for authentication if you use Adobe digital editions (computer, tablet, mobile) or, for example, Bluefire reader, ReadEra or PocketBook (tablet, mobile) to read e-books.

Loan periods, printouts and downloads vary depending on which supplier and publisher the book comes from. All our e-books can be read online and many can also be downloaded for a certain time to your own computer, tablet or mobile. When you download a book, you choose the loan period. The loan period varies but is usually between 1-28 days. When the loan period is over, you will no longer be able to read the book, even if the file remains on your computer. If you want to borrow the book again, you must download it again.

Respect the license terms of the electronic material. Printing, copying and downloading of the library's e-resources may only be done for personal use for study or research purposes.
