Open seminar: Dr. Jenny Mathers

Dr. Jenny Mathers, Aberystwyth University, will hold an open seminar at The Swedish Defence University under the headline “When the War Hero is a Woman: Nadiya Savchenko, Gendered Heroism and the War in Ukraine”.

Dr. Jenny Mathers is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University. Her research and teaching expertise spans the areas of Russian politics and security policy as well as gender and conflict. She is currently writing a book examining the crisis in Ukraine from the perspective of feminist security studies.
