Gender, Peace & War: What’s the Big Deal?

Försvarshögskolans fasad.

On 17 November, the The Gender, Peace & Security Working Group at the Swedish Defence University invites to a conversation about feminist research where ongoing research projects are presented.

What makes research feminist? What do feminist approaches to studying peace and war allow us to see that others don’t? What can varied fields, such as War Studies, learn from feminist perspectives?

In this conversation, moderated by Associate Senior Lecturer Sara Bondesson, the Swedish Defence University's Gender, Peace & Security team - Associate Senior Lecturer Leena Vastapuu, Associate Senior Lecturer Jenny Hedström and Professor Annick Wibben - reflect on their journeys of becoming feminist scholars and their on-going research projects in this area.

Join us to learn more about feminist research methods, ethics, and practices. We look forward to answering your questions!
