I am interested in human-system interaction, whether the system consists of other people, more or less smart gadgets, but especially if it consists of a combination thereof (i.e., a socio-technical system). I am particularly interested in how to describe (model) systems, and the interaction with the people involved, so that individuals with different backgrounds and perspectives (and perhaps even machines) can together develop and change, or create new, systems. My previous research has mainly been in the field of military command and control.
Background
I have been working at the Swedish Defence University for over twenty years, first as a lecturer in command science and the last ten years as an associate professor in systems science for defence and security.
I have a PhD in psychology from Örebro University (2003) and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology (1990).
