Since 2024, I have been a senior lecturer at the Swedish Defence University, specialising in game-based learning in war studies. I have an interdisciplinary background in learning, digital technologies, and media and communication studies. My overall research interests include social interaction, joint decision-making, coordinated action, digital technologies, and the development of specialised knowledge and skills.

My ongoing research focuses on educational wargames. This includes a review article on empirical studies of the learning effects of educational wargames, as well as an empirical study focusing on teacher interventions during ongoing wargames. I am also involved in a newly started project on analytical wargames.

In teaching, my main work has been supervising students at bachelor’s and advanced levels and supporting courses that use wargames as a learning activity.
