Alexandra Brankova

Postdoctoral Researcher

Engelsk beskrivning om dig själv: Alexandra Brankova is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Political Science working on a project about Geopolitical Narratives. Alexandra is also an affiliated researcher at the Institute for Russian and Eurasian studies, Uppsala University. She holds a PhD degree in Media and Communications from Uppsala University.

Her research interests include geopolitical narratives, identity construction, international relations, digital media, nationalism studies, great power politics, and ontological security, with a particular focus on the Russian Federation and South-East Europe. Alexandra is also interested in digital social sciences, non-Western media systems, and new media ecologies in authoritarian contexts.
