Publish publication step by step
- Quality assurance
Make sure that the publication undergoes internal quality assurance in accordance with the procedures established by your department or centre. - Transfer your text to the appropriate template (see below)
- Complete the publication form
Specify how you would like the book to be published and distributed, for example in print or only via DiVA, and whether it should be distributed locally or made available for sale.
» Publication form - Publication agreement
Once the form has been completed, ALB will prepare a publication agreement. The agreement must be signed by all authors in Signport. The publication will then be assigned an ISBN, a series number and a DOI. - ALB takes it from here
If required, we will typeset the manuscript, produce the cover, obtain a printing quote, create the purchase order and handle communication with the printer. - The publication is published!
Once all steps have been completed and we have received your approval, we will publish the book and order the number of printed copies you requested. The publication will be made available digitally and, where applicable, distributed to booksellers.

Rules for FHS internal publications
Rules for internal publishing (Ö 181/2023) are summarised briefly below.
Printing publications
Publications must be printed by the contracted printing service, Publit. Publications can be distributed through the FHS bookshop as well as major online and physical bookshops.
The printer uses print-on-demand technology, meaning that books are printed when ordered. This reduces storage costs while enabling wider distribution.
Legal deposit copies
For printed books, the printer is responsible for distributing legal deposit copies in accordance with the Swedish Legal Deposit Act. In addition, eight copies of each published work must be provided to FHS.
