Protection of biodiversity in armed conflict: the precaution and prevention principles
As part of an edited volume on the protection of biodiversity in armed conflict, this research looks at the co-application of the duty to take precautions against the effects of attacks under international humanitarian law and the international environmental law prevention principle
Focusing on measures to be taken in peacetime, the project considers the theoretical complementarity of the two legal frameworks, as well as challenges and uncertainties in their practical co-application.
