Emil Petersson is a doctoral student at the Department of War Studies and Military History at the Swedish Defence University. Emil’s doctoral project focuses on the military strategy of third party interventions in intrastate armed conflicts, including the use of strategic airpower as a means of intervention.
Emil holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University, and separate BAs in Peace and Development Studies and Political Science from Uppsala University. Prior to joining the Swedish Defence University, Emil worked as a research assistant at the Uppsala Conflict Data Program (UCDP) at Uppsala University.
