
Scholarships
If you have applied for a course at the Swedish Defence University, which requires the payment of fees, there are several scholarships which you can apply for.
The UHR Scholarship
This scholarship is administered by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR). Application and selection process amongst admitted students to the Swedish Defence University is handled by the university. The scholarship may only be used to pay all or part of the tuition fees and may not be used for accommodation or other suchlike costs.
Who can apply?
The scholarship programme is aimed at well-qualified students from countries, other than EU/EEA countries and Switzerland (in accordance with Regulation 2010:543), who wish to study at Swedish universities or colleges.
Please note that only applicants in the current application round can apply for the scholarship since the scholarship is aimed for newly admitted students.
How to apply
Please fill in the application form. The form is open until 10 February 2023. No supporting documents are needed since they are all available for you admission evaluation through universityadmissions.se.
Application period
Submit your UHR scholarship application between 1 December 2022 - 10 February 2023 for applicants in the application round 17 October 2022 - 16 January 2023. Only applicants to our English-taught Master programmes (60-120 ECTS) can apply.
The scholarship recipients will be notified right after the Admission results in early April 2022. We will only review scholarship applications amongst eligible and admitted candidates. If you have not received an email by April 30, please consider your scholarship application as unsuccessful.
The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP)
The Swedish Institute, a government agency, receives funding each year to use for scholarships to international Master students who have the ambition to become a future leader within the sustainable development on a global platform.
