Are you interested in a future in cybersecurity? Don’t miss the Industry Day alongside Cyber Challenge. Meet leading actors in the security sector, explore potential career paths, and build your professional network at the recruitment plaza.

On 5 February 2026, the Swedish Defence University and the National Cyber Security Centre will host the annual cybersecurity competition, Cyber Challenge. In connection with the competition, a recruitment plaza will be held from 10:00 to 16:30 in the lobby of the Swedish Defence University. At the recruitment plaza, you will have the opportunity to:

  • meet leading actors in the security sector who are seeking future talent – you may discover your future workplace at the recruitment plaza,
  • receive personalised guidance on how to develop your profile to become more attractive in the job market,
  • gain inspiration and insights from professionals regarding current challenges and trends in the field.

The recruitment plaza is open to students from all universities and academic backgrounds.

Inspirational lecture with Carl Heath

During the day, you will also have the opportunity to attend an inspirational lecture. On this occasion, we are pleased to welcome Carl Heath, Senior Researcher and Strategic Lead for Digital Resilience at RISE. Carl Heath will deliver a lecture on the theme Hybrid Threats and the Role of Technology in Turbulent Times” in the Sverigesalen auditorium at the Swedish Defence University (Floor 2) at 13:00.

Seating is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are therefore encouraged to arrive well in advance.

Carl Heath is a Senior Researcher and Strategic Lead for Digital Resilience at RISE, as well as a researcher at the University of Gothenburg and a member of SCDI – the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation. His work focuses on areas such as the digital transformation of society, particularly issues related to democracy, digital resilience, and innovation management.

Carl Heath has served as a special government inquiry chair, investigating democracy in a digital age. He currently supports the Swedish Psychological Defence Agency in research and education, and is a member of the Board of the Swedish eHealth Agency as well as the Media Subsidies Council. Don’t miss to bring your ID or passport (if your not a student at FHS). To facilitate your participation, you can register your interest in advance. The registration of interest is not binding, and you are very welcome to visit the recruitment plaza even if you haven’t registered.
