Industry Day

Are you active within the security sector and looking to strengthen your employer brand? Welcome to Industry Day – a unique opportunity to network and connect with students from the Swedish Defence University and other institutions of higher education interested in cybersecurity.

In conjunction with the Swedish Defence University’s cybersecurity competition, Cyber Challenge, on 5 February 2026, Industry Day will be held. Industry Day serves as a meeting place for actors within the security sector, National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC) and its partner agencies, and students with knowledge and interest in policy-based cybersecurity.

A recruitment plaza with a focus on networking

The event takes place in the lobby of the Swedish Defence University in the form of a recruitment plaza. As an exhibitor at the plaza, you will have excellent opportunities to network and establish contacts with students and potential future colleagues. Through personal meetings, you can share information about your organization and what you are looking for in future employees. Whether you are actively recruiting or seeking to increase awareness of your organization, Industry Day is a powerful platform to gain visibility, network, inspire, and attract talent. Industry Day is also an opportunity to listen to students’ motivations, expectations, and ideas, providing valuable insight into how you can develop your employer offering and meet the needs of tomorrow.

In addition to students from the Swedish Defence University, students from other higher education institutions across Sweden are invited. Previous participants have included students from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Umeå University, Uppsala University, Stockholm University, and Chalmers University of Technology – all with an interest in cybersecurity.

Judging assignments with added value

Approximately 50 cybersecurity experts will also be present during the day, primarily serving as judges for the competition. They will have the opportunity to network with participating students, build connections with other judges (from both public authorities and the private sector), and develop their own expertise by reviewing competition materials and examining students’ solutions. As an organization within the security sector, you have the opportunity to contribute judges to the competition and benefit from all the advantages that come with this role.
