Graduation Ceremony

The Swedish Defence University Graduation Ceremony takes place every year in October. The ceremony is for you who have received your graduation at the second cycle-qualifications; Master's degree (60 credits) or Master's degree (120 credits).

The Graduation Ceremony consists of a diploma ceremony and a mingle at the Officers Mess. In 2024 the ceremony will take place 22 and 23 October. Details on which day and time the bachelor, national master and international master will take place will be decided no later than August 2024. Earliest time for any ceremony is 3 pm. Please save both dates if you plan to attend.

Deadline registration: 2 September 2024

To participate in the graduation ceremony you need to register no later than 2 september. The deadline is set in order to plan how many ceremonies are needed. You have unitil 13 September 2024 to receive your formal graduation from the student administration system, Ladok, to allow time for production of diplomas, printed programme etc.

Bachelor and Master ceremonies

We usually have two or three ceremonies in Sverigesalen in order to house all graduats and two to three guests per graduate. We aim for one Bachelor ceremony in Swedish and one Master ceremony in English and one Master ceremony in Swedish or Swedish/English.
